I'm buying a new computer and I was looking to get a tablet with it. Thing is, I really don't know what get, or even where to start. It's going to be used mainly for drawing and my budget is around $150 CAD. What do you guys recommend? Also, I realise this technically isn't art, but it's art related, and I figured if I posted this in the tavern the response would be a ton of kids yelling "get a mac dey dunt git virusesses!! LOLOL" in unison.

You can't really buy a computer for $150. I payed $2000 for the computer, I have $150 for JUST a tablet.

I got a bamboo fun. :P

You see, that's what I'm looking at. Of the Wacom website they're $200, but everywhere else the price is nearly doubled. I don't get it.

$150 wonderful. I would suggest you to get the Bamboo Pen. Its only around $70. You've got another 80 bucks left over for whatever. It's from Wacom which is a very trustworthy company when it comes to tablets. I have an Intuos 4 myself, but the price is over your budget, so the Bamboo Pen is your best go.

Check here, their pretty cheap, and 29dollar one is the one I have, and it works great with Vista, if that is your OS.

Well I'm not getting an OS on my new system. At least for the time being.

Eh, still check out those Tablets. The 24dollar one (mistake in last post) is the one I use, and I <3 it.

I might end up sounding stupid here, but how do you plan on using a computer without an operating system installed...?

Zoph, everyone knows that the operating system is just the clothes that the little wizard in your computer wears! The little wizard is who runs the computer. He also installs stuff, zips files, and finds new wireless networks.

It's a pen, and a small computer-ish screen that you can draw on.

Watch this video.

I dunno, I was going to install DOS but now I'm not sure. At the moment it's just sitting by my desk upstairs. 18 days 'til Windows 7, 18 days.
