What i wanna no is what causes lag. What is it? I have sooo many ideas for Ag and every time i suggest one people always say it causes lag. I know the basics of lag but how much content on a page causes lag. Here are some ideas and tell me how much lag it would cause.

Here are my Estimates.

Red dot to tell you if person is online- I think it might cause like 3 seconds of lag. I have DSL and it and pages still pop up quick. Most people have Comcast sooooo....

Ag Sidebar- Shows your latest comments and points.

Newgrounds-They can fit the users name, photo, game info, game description, and cool looking comments with no lag.

Kongregate-Fits a chat box, comments, acheivements, and game info with no lag.

Crazymonkeygames.com- Even though of its simpke web design this site lags for me.

Ah lag... it my best friend

Freezes me for a few crucial seconds then I am dead...

I fire my gun then I die because the bullets never left the gun...

I fall into the fog of death because lag made me stand still when i was jumping...

Ah lag... my best friend

To my knowledge the problem with the lag is centered around what type of server the site is run on and how efficient it is, as well as how many people go on the site, and some other things including the site itself having possibly certain features that can bog it down, but right now I don't have time to elaborate. I might later if I need to though.
