I have always been an avid Halo player, it's the main reason why I purchased the original Xbox console as well as the Xbox 360. Halo was well made, the story was rich and developed and the multiplayer had little things for everyone of different play styles and various skill levels. Halo 2 was well made, introducing the brutes and their feud with the elites was interesting and made for nice cut scenes. Multiplayer was a big step up from the first Halo, the vehicles were now destructible, new weapons, new health regen system, and the ability to choose between a spartan or elite multiplayer skin. I loved Halo 3, but I was deeply saddened when Johnson died. ODST brought a new perspective and the firefight mode supplied me with hours of multiplayer fun. As for Halo Reach, the campaign was solid, but the multiplayer, to me, seemed foreign. Armor abilities and the ability to sprint caught me off guard and my once flawless Halo 3 style of play now had little to no effect when it came to jet packs and on-demand invisibility. Am I sad that bungie no longer presents Halo as their own? Maybe a little, but 343 did a good job with Reach; and also, with Halo 4 on the way, 343 is giving me some closure that bungie had trouble doing at the end of Halo 3.
