If you want to play a game similar to CoD, play CoD. Halo is unique, and Halo is an amazing game. The weapons are more fun. Fuel Rod, Spartan Laser, Needler, you have to admit they are fun. Also, it takes more than 2 shots to kill, etc.

For me Skyrim already won but you forgot some major games like BTF 3, Saints row the third, Dead Space 2, The Wircher 2. But I think Halo wont win GOTY because of the remake stuff but I think HALO 4 will make a chance.
You can get ODST for about $10, so if you have a few dollars to waste then get it. It's got a pretty decent campaign, and the firefight mode is better than Reach's. I really think it's good mostly to play with a friend or family member, so if you have a friend with ODST, get it.
