Pokemon isn't a bad game but I wouldn't really say it was a good one either compared to the games I play! Before I play Pokemon I would have to be bored out of my mind :\\.
I like Pokemon because I enjoy collecting things in games. When I collect pokemon, each type takes me about an hour to get because I calculate the stats and such to find the best one. So fun =D

An hour? No. It doesn't take an hour for each one. More like two minuites... If you take an hour, your brain must be messed up.
I'm kinda a fan of Pokemon... I like the trainer ones the best, but the rescue team and such are still pretty fun. Most people that say Pokemon sucks either
A: Only saw the show once and thought it sucked(I don't blame 'em)
B: Had a short attention span when playing game, and didn't keep their interest long enough to actually get their pokemon
C: Have friends that hate it or they hate it for some reason not related to it's games/Show
Pokemon is a game that a lot of people may think stupid or childish, but I think otherwise. Have any of you ever played zelda games? Or Mardek (which is on ArmorGames)? Well these games are very closely related to Pokemon, for they are all rpgs. I think that most people think who think that Pokemon is for little kids only do so only because their friends tell them so. So for all of you who think Pokemon is stupid, think again and actually try playing the games for once, instead of only listening to what other people say.
As also a lot of people say, they get influenced by the anime. In my opinion, along with most other people, I think that the Pokemon anime just sucks. They should do a better job on improving it or making it original. Most people also say that the Pokemon games are horrible just for the simple fact that they only have watched the anime, and never actually have tried the games.
I think that a lot of people formed their opinion of Pokemon as a whole from the anime, since that got the most mainstream exposure. The anime's biggest problem was that it was ridiculously repetitive - the same problem that plagued Yu-gi-oh and other anime series' that have gained a reputation for being childish and stupid.
The games, on the other hand, are great fun, and I will maintain that the Pokemon Trading Card Game is one of the best TCGs I've ever played - it balances a wide variety of cards, abilities, and strategies with a simple system that makes it easy to pick up and play.
