Like TSL said, people are back in school. The people that come on a lot just aren't the debating type, I guess. I know when I've tried to debate the last few days, not many people responded.

I was just reading past pages of the burning american flag thread, and in April there was a nice debate going. I'm hoping that starts up again sometimes, it's always fun to have a challenging debate. You learn something, and feel proud of yourself if you "win".

There is always a certain tidal flow in the activity. Before summer the activity went down, and around Christmas the activity went up quite a bit and so on. People come and go.

My own problem is that the threads that are actually worth replying to is rather rare, and this is not only in the Tavern, but every where.
That, and I have exams from the end of October til the beginning of February, so I am pretty much preparing for that.

There are less persons on and there are also less new things to debate, it's boring debating the same things again and again and again.

People have a more of a life than just sitting on AG, there probably all caught up in something or they lack interest.

While I agree with you general idea, it's kind of wrong...

The high-profile users are less existent now, while total newbs are showing up left-and-right.

So we still have the same amount of people, but just not the right kind of people...

Some newbie have potential, so if we wait some time maybe some will become high-profile users.
