i like "semi cheats", more like a fun mode. for whoevers played desktop tower defense 1.5, you know the "fun" modes. they include alot of starting money, custom maps, etc. i enjoy that because it gives you solmething to do, and gives you insight towards the game.
would it be consdered a glitch or in a cheat in the sonny game, when you drg a weapon to your options and put it on the side, its like your wearing the armor or weapon! is that a cheat, sonny has a lot of them then!
Some games have glitches and that is what these are glitches and if they are cheats somebody must have hacked the game or something they were not supposed to do!
what i hate are games that have cheat/glitches that help you out a lot (infinant money, don't lose health, ect,) that CAN'T be avoided. they just happen randomly and ruin your game. fuedalsim comes to mind. i once got this glitch where i won a fight. i hit continue and won a again, doulbing what i won, and i had won a lot. after about 10-15 tmies i went on and had a TON of stuff. like, 20 different things and over a hundred of each. a couple of times i should have died, but didn't. also, the heal potions and rage scrolls and stuff don't work at all how they'er supposed to. click one, it activates another.
Cheats can be fun if you have already beat the game. Or you get to a part of the game where you like the storyine and stuff but there is just this part you can not beat. So...cheats can be fun or really ruin the game.
There's a difference between cheats and glitches. Glitches should be allowed to be fixed, because obviously they're not intentional. But other changes, like getting rid of cheats that were put there originally on purpose, should stay.
problem is, that some glitches are so small and finite, that if you were to fix them, it would take hours of reprogramming. alot of the time its not with it as long as it doesn't mess up the gameplay.
glitches that are an auto-full level up or infinite money can be seen as only mildly problematic in comparison to one that halts gameplay.
Cheating can be fun for games that are single player only, but when it comes to multiplayer games, they are no fun at all. For me cheats take the challenge away and I am the kind of person that loves a challenge that I can do. Cheats can fun for a while, but they can make a game very boring.
