I seen those other forum places, and through...Why don't AG forum have the poll option? Like the thing that makes a thread turn into a poll, so everyone can vote. I think it would be a good idea.
Trouble is it most likely will take all discussion out of the threads. I am not sure what forums you have been on, but I have seen a fair few of the threads, where the users simply state what they picked, often without any reason. Other threads do fine and there will be created discussions from that, but seeing how the users of AG often are chasing the easy AP, I fear it will end up like the first. Simple answers that goes nowhere. The goal of the threads in the AP-giving sections of the forums is to create discussion. This is often why many mods chooses to lock the threads with polls.
As far as I know, there have never been a poll function available in the forums. I am not sure it would be cause a lag since it only updates when someone vote, but then again, I know little about building a forum.

Good point. It might help in threads like 'coolest user' or 'which celebrity is better', but for whole forums like the Support and suggestion, it is almost useless. The SS is supposed to have discussions that help users in words, not pictures/polls.

I've been here longer than you, Armourknight, perhaps not as long as Cenny, but unless it was a one day thing, there have never been polls in the Forum.
