Norway is a great place to visit. Heck, I'd emigrate if it weren't for the language and the weather. My family and I would stick out like sore thumbs, but that's ok, too.

No surprises there. Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Australia always do well in those surveys.

Usually Sweden is first, but Norway is also always one of the first in such surveys, so it's no surprise.

How on earth did Vatican City not win or Monaco (it's not like they have taxes to grumble about). But I'm not overly surprised that it was a scandinavian country that ranked the highest, despite their stereotypically high suicide rates I never hear of them complaining alot.

the United States of America is ranked..... wait for it.... 13th???

They should have surveyed some Katrina survivors. 13th is probably pretty good for it.

It's technically not a country. It has a population of 600 people, all of which are those of the Catholic Church and the Swiss Guard.

I live in the city that has the second worst traffic, the worst sales tax in US, has the slowest/least efficient/most stolen or lost mail in US for some time now, has almost as much corruption as the entire state of Louisiana, and has been rated the most stressful to live in two years in a row.

so Highest Quality of Living is a useless topic.

(by the way, live in Chicago)

The Vatican City is most certainly a country. It is recognised as such by countries all over the.

I think it is "technically". In days gone by when it ahd all the Papal States it would have been more believable. But as shown it meets all the criteria even if it is "70% the size of the mall in Washington D.C."
