I just started. Fun, kinda laggy. I know it is the starting weapon but the M1 just doesn't feel like it is doing anything, half the time it doesn't even make a noise when I shoot, and that just isn't right.
Yeah, its similar to robokill, except much more weapons, and you stay in one room the entire time.
Also, I agree with you bronze, the M1 sucks pretty damn bad. At those beginning levels, just running over the prisoners does the trick as fast if not faster than using the M1. THe assault cannon is also pretty bad unless you stack on one side (two assault cannons on one side is like a rapid fire shot cannon, sucks against juggernauts though). Basically, the weapons I found worth using were the flamethrower, since it owns both infantry and light juggers easy but with low range; the grenade launcher, good against both infantry and juggernauts; the emp grenade launcher, emp is surprisingly very useful, especially when up against a high damage enemy like say... a quad laser heavy juggernaut; the multi rpg, it's the shot cannon, but with rpgs instead of bullets, owns infantry and mechs alike; and finally the laser cannon, it is bar none the best anti-jugger weapon.
I had two flamers for the left arm for prisoners and a laser + rocket propelled grenade on the right arm for juggernauts. I felt like I was piloting a mech in Battletech. Very fun game.
Quad shot cannons are awesome to blast everything, when you get close it can tear apart light mechs and if you are mobile enough circle round the heavier mechs and they'll get destroyed pretty easily..anyone get all achievements yet your suppose to get a bigger mech?
How do you start a game in Juggerdome? Press New Game, go past instructions, go to equip, equip a the repeater onto the left/right side, then press battle. Each time to start the next event, go to equips, and then press battle.
Anyways, I personally don't like quad shot cannons (yes, I tried it), it decimates prisoners, but against medium/heavy mechs, it just takes too long. The explosive weapons are far more effective, and the laser of course as well.
My current set up is as follows: Left Side: EMP Grenades and Multi RPG Right Side: Dual Lasers or Laser and Bertha (yes, I unlocked the bertha).
Left side is constantly firing, as Multi RPG does a lot of damage and doesn't need to be aimed particularly well. EMP Grenades also, take out the enemy. The right side is dedicated to more or less nuking the enemy. So my general strategy is to EMP them to hodl them in place, then laser/bertha them.
