But if you really think about it... both are very diffrent styles... and some people prefer the sound of bass better... like in jazz or blues.... it is just a preferance... but yes I should of added acoustic but if you like acoustic then say so....

I like the skin flute but I guess I'll go for the guitar.

Electric bass for me. I've been playing now for almost three years. I like it because it holds down the lower octave of the music and without it the music just sounds flat. Bass players get no love though, but you can always tell when a good bassist is playing because they really stand out. Like Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne or Reginald Arvizu aka Fieldy from Korn and of course Les Claypool of Primus. Here's a picture of the bass I play:

Well. I don't care for bass.. Bass is only good for keeping "bass" in the back. Good for bringing a sort of contrast to higher pitched instruments.
For only listening, I prefer acoustic.

i wanted to start playing electric guitar but the teacher said i should start with acoustic, i started yesterday but i prefer the electric

Guitar accompanies the vocal..Bass structure the melody line so that all are important to the song.

I do love bass .. Then again the electric guitar is cool too.

I will go for Bas because I can play some songs on it and I love to hear the bass in songs pounding away XD

Electric Guitar, bass sounds boring and dull. Electric guitar all the way because you can do a lot of stuff with it.

Electric guitar is much more flexible. I can't play either, but I've heard them both many times.

i like 2 play both, but the electric has a better sound to it i think.
