when I first joined armor games a little over a year ago, one of the main reasons I liked it was because it had very few advertisements. recently, there have been an increasingly large amount of ads on armor games, and now even the sides of the site itself is made of an ad. is the site struggling that badly? why are there so many of them recently?
The only one that annoy me is the new border one. Not because it is there, but because my scroll lags when I'm scrolling down the site > > But yes, ads = money, and as "remove ads" is a common suggestion that should not be suggested, it is just that.
The advertisements at the sides are simply blocky static pictures, so it does not take up too much RAM. They only need to keep the advertisements there fore a little while. Once they get an adequate amount of money they can remove the advertisements until an ample sum of money is required again.
Most of you ask to get rid of pop-up ads, or to reduce the amount of ads, so they do something else. Then what do you all do? Complain about their new methods! It's not that big of a deal. It's not like people randomly click on the sides of the screen or something.
i was actually about to create a thread here with the exact same point as this one. yes too many ads, before there was only little ones above the games, now there are pop-ups, slide outs, and omg, you actually made the whole site covered in an add for dungeon fighter... -.- this is so annoying. i know u want money but please this is so annoying
The background ad needs to leave, I don't mind th others, its just got to go.
yeah dude your right... thats my tipping point of where adds gotoo far. and back to that arm thing, look past his armor thing at his shoulder... its like a fat bulging face shoved out of his arm... im getting nauseous. please get rid of at least the background ads
Well, I guess number of ads grow along side with site popularity. At first those ads on the profile seemed annoying but I got used to them. I thought that AG has replaced blue background with illustration when I first saw the ad that started this conversation. But no, that's a link alright. And I'm not going to click it. At least it doesn't stretch to the far edges of the screen, it goes half-way, at least in my case.
