Hello everyone!I bet some of you know me from my religion-based topics! And here's my new topic:
Some people belive in God,some not. Some belive in Charles Darwin theory, some not. Some belive that 1+1+1=2,some not.
And some belive in stars, some not. I belive in stars. What i want to mean is that, for me, what my sign(star sign) and my horospic(is it right?I mean, isn't it written worng?Anyway dont bother that) are a kind of religion.I often try to match what happens in my life with that.
In this topic, you're going to say about what do you belive,a small theory proving that and,in the end,I'm going to check what most AG players belive.
Wow...umm theories are not proven...thats why they are called theories....do I need to go into further detail?
(facedesk) Really!?! As I said before: A Theory is a hypothesis that multiple scientists have tested and got the same results. However; if that hypothesis is proven to be wrong through proof, then the theory is nulled. A good example would be the change from a geocentric view(the statement that the Earth is the center of the Solar System) to the Heliocentric view.( the sun is the center.) Galileo proved Ptolemy wrong.
I'm pretty darn sure that the Cell Theory is true. So it is a logical assumption that today's theories are correct, because no one has proven them to be wrong.
I am a agnostic for the simple reason that if I base my entire beliefs on one God I may be damned to damnation or worse it might be as if I never were which is worse than torture I believe.
I disagree, I think that there are too many. and none of them have good reasons.
Really? I've never seen another Catholic on AG. I've seen plenty of Christians, though, but I don't think there are too many. I think there's a pretty even division between them and the atheists. There are people from both sides who don't have good reasons, as well as people from both sides who do. A good reason judged from your perspective may be different from other people's; not necessarily wrong or right, but just different.
I've been raised (extremely) catholic, was baptised, did both my confirmations (I'm not sure the first one at 6 years old is called confirmation in english though), but since I was only 11 at that point, and in a very catholic primary school, I had no idea of the world in front of me.
Now, more than 7 years later I'm a scientist and I no longer believe in the Catholic church, nor it's rules.
