The war on terror is an unwinnable war, for both sides. On one side, we cannot locate them, on the other, they have not the manpower or power in general to take our country. It will always be a stalemate, especially now, with the world in a state where even the smallest countries are massive in scale to the old world where geurilla troops like Al Quaeda actually stood a chance of taking over.
The war in afghanistan is really a waste of time for the USA. That nation ahs been at war for centuries. I can even lsit the invaders and groups that have fought in that damn nation. Here goes 1. The Sumerians 2.The Akkadains 3.The Assyrians 4.The Babylonyians 5.The Persians 6.The Greeks. 7.Persians again 8.The Romans 9.The Byzantines 10.The Arabs. 11.The Seljuk Turks 12.The Mongols 13.The Ottoman Turks. 14.The Russians 15.The English 16.The Iranians 17.The Iraqis 18.The Soviets 19.The United States and NATO And thats just the invaders list. Not to mention the groups inside Afghanistan fought amongst themselves, like a bunch of feudal tribes, and they committed their own warso n each other. Afghanistan borders so many nations, and it is a crossraods for so many places, its no wonder why they are invaded so much. Afghanistan is a complete waste of time. There is no reward even if you do win the war, the oil will just be sabatoged before you grasp it. Not to mention if you eevn win the war, which is highly unlikely, due to the superior skill of these extremists( they are alot mroe experienced at geurilla warfare then any American or western troop for that matter, its a fact.) And they are like cockroaches, they are almsot impossible to get rid of, and they are extremely hard to kill. And that aside, even if they dont have the latest little gadgets, they still ahve enough money to trade on the black market, and get decent guns, and diffrent vehicles, like RPG'S, Qaud cannons, and diffrent types of soviet tanks, like BMP 15's. Plus they can produce their own guns, and thye can live off their own land for certain. Even if it is a wasteland.
Now to put it in final matter, they were born soldiers/Geurilla's. So its basically second anture for them to be a bunch of cutthroats. The USA soldiers, however how much training they receive, will never be a true geurilla soldier. Mabye this was true during the 17th century during the revolution, but you guys arent a bunch of settlers any more. So your past and backgrounds do not help much either.
Now that may sound harsh. But if you look at it, the Soldiers your fighting, were tortured, brainwashed, and convicted with their beliefs, and they would rather die then surrender.

Have you ever considered that US involvement in the region is the main reason they hate you so much? The only reason the Afghans ever unite is to repel an invading force.
That said, all the terrorist training camps previously in Southern Afghanistan have been moved just over the border to Taliban controlled Waziristan. Even ifyou think invasion is the right solution, you have to realise you're targeting the wrong area.

So you're saying all Afghans are terrorists right?, I can assure you that Afghans never united to be terrorists to fight Americans, no one wants terrorists in their country so America is getting rid of them (but they'll never win) its like a gang that can't be stopped because it has so many members
Like I said. And for many of you, let me give you this idea. EVEN IF they got a hold of missiles, you don't think we wouldn't have government agents working on a solution? If you don't, you REALLY underestimate the abilities of our government and military.

I lollocausted to this. Twas funny and gave me a hefty chuckle. anyways It was deffo a war about money and power, and Oil is a large piece o the jigsaw. Lots of soldiers from many places were sent to die for the rich mans game. Its always been that way.
