I think the ap to knight should be lowered. Not a lot. But to like 1075 or somthing. Cause im sure the reason there arnt a lot of gold squires active is cause they see they need double what they have to get the next rank and just give up. Only the hardcore ppl stay. Just lower it a bit
Ranks are for AGers to feel important and feel the need for constructive comments to be built. But many people spam for points. What is the use of a little icon next to your name?
In all honesty, 600 points isn't a lot. By just being active, you can get that much in a few weeks, maybe less if you manage to obtain a few merits.
And what about the transition from prince(ss) to king(queen)? That requires 2000ap, and they're not complaining. (Probably because by that time, everyone forget about points...Unless you count the spammers that no one catches for a while)
I just dont understand why the gap between wood knight and iron knight is greater than the gap between iron knight and gold knight. shouldnt it be the other way around?

As for the OP: If people are leaving just because they can't hit a certain rank then let them leave. Contrary to popular belief having a high rank does not make you cooler than everyone. What is wrong with just wanting to play games and chatting with friends on a site without worrying about a ranking system?
