Most people would say it is a shooting sport or football, but actually it is fishing because most fishermen drink and get drunk and also crash into hidden things in the water such as logs or hit another boat and drown. Just like driving anything else. Water increases the danger of most activities. In some cases, the water can be exceptionally cold, which increases the chances of hypothermia. There can be strong currents, unstable surface for standing, and a variety of other water dangers. Another problem is that there can be overhead power lines for shore fishermen.
I saw this documentary on the Historychannel and it said that foot ball is the most dangerous. you can't beat documentaries. Do not call me a nerd because i don't watch it any more.
