A couple days ago I checked out a book. *gasp* I don't usually read voluntarily.
The book is:
Thinking of this I came to questions I hope to later find out answers to ('bout as big as Harry Potter: Goblet'o Fire).
Are our lives ruled by Fear? Is a little Fear healthy? Does religion constantly insight fear to control a populus? Do any ruling powers do the same? How much Fear does it take till breaking point (through overexertion or underexertion) and you choose 'Fight' over 'Flight'?
Which is more Fearful:
Losing Social-Status, or Basic Needs? Premature burial or Hold-on to life? Burning or Freezing? Impalement or Amputation?
yes, (if it's not paranoia). A little fear is very important for our instincts of self-preservation.
Does religion constantly insight fear to control a populus?
of course.
Do any ruling powers do the same?
Of course, cause when you focus on something because of fear, criminality for example, you don't see anything else and the government can do unpleasant things.
How much Fear does it take till breaking point (through overexertion or underexertion) and you choose 'Fight' over 'Flight'?
it depends from the person. I choose Fight, almost always.
Losing Social-Status, or Basic Needs?
Losing social status, when you have something is very fearful thinking of losing it.
Premature burial or Hold-on to life?
premature burial.
Burning or Freezing?
Burning
Impalement or Amputation?
Amputation, every person fears of not having a perfect body. We consider a lot our appearance.
