Mario doesn't need weapons to be awesome. Therefore, Mario wins.

I vote Link. Yeah sure *says in somewhat Italian accent* everybody like a the Mario. But Link has a huge arsenal of weapons and is 3D. Which means he can go diagonal beat Mario 2D from the side!

1) Link needs weapons to defeat Mario, which means without weapons, he's not much of a fighter.
2) Mario is also in 3D.
3) Mario pwns Link. End of story.

What about Wolf Link(I haven't played Zelda games so I don't know the actual names[I've only seen commercials])?

Mario, he is the main character of SSBB. Everyone knows him, and he has cool power ups!
