They make good remakes of 50's songs, but their original work isn't as good.

I like a good chunk of their original stuff, especially off the Dream Police album. I also like surrender. They did make a lot of remakes of 50's songs, and I like their version of don't be cruel.

All I've heard bu Cheap Trick is their Top Gun soundtrack. Catchy, if not eye-wateringly 80s.

i was surprised at how many songs i knew by them. their version of don't be cruel actually kicks the crap out of elvis. I'm not a big elvis fan anyway, but still.

I was going to go to a Cheap Trick/ Def Leppard concert, but it got canceled due to personal reasons for one of the bands.
