Omg you guys r dumb they just now figured out how to hook wires up to a big ball of air and rubber and make it roll then tommorow itll have arms, legs, and machine guns, get real guys.
I know it is easy to ridicule and poke fun of that which seems innocuous if not down right strange and foreign to us.
However, what most of you might not know is who DARPA is. DARPA stands for The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. They are the developmental arm of the Department of Defense or DoD.
The reason I bring this into the discussion is because those of you who are to young to remember the original Terminator and Terminator 2 movies when they came out may not realize this, but the general public was making the same remarks you are making on this thread now.
For those of you who might not know about the "BIGDOG" robot from just over a year ago, please check this out
And for those of you who want to see real "Terminator" technology in action as though it was plucked from a scene from the movie, please see DAPRA'S Bionic arm from just over two years ago.
This might seem like nothing to the majority of you and I understand if it does.
But ask yourself a serious question or two if for no other reason than for levity: What is the reason for this technology? Being in the infant stages of production, what will be the end result once they find what they want?
To be honest, it could be nothing at all. It truly could all be just banal and insipid...just experiments and nothing else. Maybe it is actually benign.
Then again what if we are seeing a glimpse of the future if it falls into the wrong hands? Remember, we are only being shown what they allow us to see; that which is declassified.
