well i play football. i am 13 years old in 8th grade and im going to be in highschool soon. my problem is that i weigh 88lbs without pads on and i think im too small to play my favorite position... the offensive line :P im thinking about getting ripped after my football season ends to make the highschool team. should i try or not? Well whatever you want to do but if you do decide to get bigger here is the best advice you'll get: If you go in the weight room DONT lift as much as you can. Really what you want is low weight high reps. You muscles get bigger by making them tired use low weight something thats easy to lift the first few times. Just keep on doing that and you'll get bigger. There's pyramids after that but thats after you work out with some consistancy.

As MrMonkey states--- definitely don't go crazy with lifting as hard as you can. Low weights with high reps is where it is at! Also, do Not go jumping into lifting alone. Talk to your trainer, gym teacher, or football coach about your plans to seriously play in high school next year. They should be able to guide you in a safe yet productive way! Good luck!
