It won't help you at all. Nobody really cares for the games I like.

But if you haven't already done so, try the popular games in each category. They will be near the top of the page when you click on one of the genres. Those are usually the most well-liked, as they have an awful lot of plays.

It would also help if you told us what types of games you liked. I don't want to suggest some game without knowing that you hate the category.
