I have an idea.
How about a button in a section that says "view all locked threads". This obviously means that it will show all the locked threads of that section. I think this will be helpful to see what types of threads get locked, so you don't make idiotic topics.

Sounds like a good idea. However, some of the locked topics probably have inappropriate things in them. Not sure if AG would like having everybody be able to view those, especially those that are just the minimum age to join AG.

Yes, although I believe topics that are flame based are deleted. I'm thinking of threads that are spammed or already start off as spam: Why would you want to search them?

Plus, the whole Forum doesn't have a search function, and this kind of counts as one. We could add this after some Forum search functions have been added, but this shouldn't be a top search priority.

I believe we do have a forum search up in the stickies, although I believe that others had been saying it doesn't work very well.

I don't think that's a good idea because some of the topic are evil and bad so maybe that's why

If there is something inappropriate it's deleted as opposed to locked. Locked threads are just useless ones. So essentially this wouldn't do any harm.

Like a competition of 'Who can get the most locked threads before getting banned'? I guess they might do that.
So essentially this wouldn't do any harm


but you can't really see the benefits of it either. Except yeah, maybe repeated topics. But repeated topics are created by newbies, and most likely they won't look into the locked threads stuff.

What if you want to find a thread that is really funny or w/e? The idea seems ok to me.

This idea sounds like a Graveyard. I mean KrinLabs has one, and then there are the epic threads which has the epic fails. Why not make something like that?

I don't see how a funny thread would get locked, unless it was inappropriate or macabre.
This idea sounds like a Graveyard.


Like that idea someone had where all threads go to one Forum. But we trashed that because answered threads would be crammed next to spam threads.

I am not condoning the idea, or see benefit. I am just addressing someone's claim that it would do harm. I actually have a neat idea on the lines of this, but way better, and am keeping for my own forum. :3
