What's the point of making them? They are dangerous, and its no good if we use them. US, Russia and other big countries has over 1000 of them stored. Why do we need them??? Even one can annihilate mankind.

To show other countries that we can and if they mess with us, we'll kill them.

Really? Over 1000 each? Somehow I don't think so. But hey, I could be wrong.
Why do we need them??? Even one can annihilate mankind.
Why? To show other countries our awesomeness through fear. Also, I doubt that one nuke can kill mankind. Now, one nuke getting fired at another country will probably destroy mankind.
In essence, one country made a nuke, just to prove they could, which had another country make one, just in case that first country fired theirs. And so on. All thanks to a little thing called paranoia.
