there should be a personal chatroom for users on armorgames.
Apparently there did used to be a chatroom, but it got abused and was taken down. An official one would need constant moderation, which is unlikely to happen.
Really, if you want a chatroom, go to Klaushouse's profile. He's created an unofficial one. Alternatively, just use MSN or something similar.
you know so not every pointless thing will be discussed on the forums. and you cant talk about it on the chatroom
Hopefully the pointless stuff on the forums will be dealt with by the mods appropriately. In any case, I doubt anyone would have forum style discussions in a chatroom. That's not really what they're for.
But basically, we used to have a chatroom, it got spammed, they took it away.
It took 4 posts to write this simple answer (Firefly didn't explain the reason). Some very dumb and not very bright users must've decided to spam the chat room when it was still there (After all, spam in the chatrooms is hard to find because chatting makes a lot of lines of words. And many sites don't save everything written). No matter what the mods had done, it didn't work and the chat closed. Personally, I like that about AG.

Yes, use the unofficial one please, instead of asking for one. And MSN is good for chatting for everybody who has it.
they could just bann users who spam..... have a mod in there.
Mods aren't on at all times. I mean, ever heard of a mod getting up at 2:00 AM just to moderate the chat? Wouldn't happen.

But good users are also not on at all times (Say, 2:00 PM). It would allow spammers to create havoc in the chat room without fear of being punished. Very sad...
It would be nice if a mod or admin might explain this idea again and why we will never again have it.

[self censor due to swearing, which is baaad] What about the people writing "**** you you ****ing ******* I ****ed your ****ing mom!", would those people be enough reason for not having a chatroom that cannot be moderated properly? Chats give an opportunity to flame people a lot without anything can be done, and as far as I know, that was just as much the problem as the spamming.

Well how about setting up somekind of limit/bot for the spamers? If someone ends up spamming posts in the chat box then the limit/bot would stop that user from spaming. Was there a device of some such used?
