Ok, the psychological class is veeeery tricky. that is why i like it. Here you can talk about whatever you want with the psycho class(you can post your strategies and trees, can talk about the electric or shadow tree and which is in your opinion the best and in general tell why do you like the psycho)
Have fun! And let me know what you think! (originally posted by Krin, the best game creator ever, in the colony game description)
it's not that hard if you play it right, which is why it's for pros
my strategy:
free will wraith form shock shock shock storm free will trust shock shock shock storm shock Repeat from start
people say its hell in zone 1 but i think its really easy. level 3, 3 shocks, your the big damager out there. add in some free will points, you've got good survivability too. then some electric storm, you've got staying power. certainly easier than biological. i think biological is naff, low damage, standard health, good debuffs, but with utter crud like slash until lvl 10.
Very useful because if you get stunned...your epiphany keeps hitting
*cough* some builds make you lose ALL your damage for a few turns if you get stunned *cough*
Anyway...it went... Psychopath form--epiphany--dark echos--insecurity--dark echos, spam dark echos, if you need healing after psychopath form runs out, use free will, if you REALLY need healing, use shock coma/retrograde+nightmare, and for starting on high HP enemies, shock coma...and for focus regen too.
I like a shock psycho build, with points mainly divided between vitality and instinct. Sorta like a tank'd shock psycho. Still does damage in the thousands, and has lots of HP.
Psycho is really awesome. But not really for a Legend run, since you'll get really stuck on the Warden - the Hydras have the flash freeze combo, and Bios can use Adrenaline to nearly halve his damage. Psychos don't really have anything for that. But when you get past that (and Felicity), Psychos absolutely pwn.
Yup. A lightning Psycho's DPT is the highest in the game. I have Tenacity and Charged Blood maxed out.
My Strategy:
Wheel Salvation Shock Therapy Shock Therapy Shock Therapy Electric Storm Free Will Wraith Form *Space* (Normally filled with either a Traumatize, or a spare Free Will.
I go - Salvation on Veradux, Wraith Form, Shock Therapy, Shock Therapy, Shock Therapy, Electric Storm. I use Free Will to heal and shield, and then use Electric Storm - Shock Therapy - Shock Therapy - Shock Therapy - Wraith Form...
In early battles, I equipped three Free Wills and two Traumatizes, while zapping them cautiously. I sometimes used Dark Echoes, but I re specced round that.
yeah, i see your point lala... but the fact is, stuns dont come too often and you lose a lot of damage with that build... plus sometimes dux heals you and gets you out of stun . and it's only for a few turns anyway, how much do you hit with that combo. wraith shock shock shock storm gets me 31,000 damage altogether. and, no doubt that epiphany is the best dotter out there, its still pretty wimpy, compared to huge shock shots, plus you can't do major overhauls on its damage because only brixys naff weapon gives you any shadow peircing at all, and equipping it sends your instinct plummeting.
I like psychos mostly but hydraulics are also good. Anyway, i usually use this strategy:
1)the tree:
Dark Infusion Corruption Electrical storm Epiphany(or whatever else you want) Free will Dark Echoes Nightmare Terrify
2)Cast Nightmare on a target 3)Rapidly use corruption on the same target(Nightmare puts a shadow buff which cannot be dispelled* and if you run out of focus use electrical storm)
*Keep in mind that only Veradux's Electric bolt can dispell the "Nightmare is over" buff
Now,if you have epiphany you will lose 10% of your health every turn because of a passive combat effect in the same tree so it is good to have terrify or free will or both 4/4
Psychos are very good but i think that firetail_Madness is right. They aren't so good in heroic(in fact i couldn't even beat the twisted experiment with him in heroic). However they have the best buffs and debuffs and if you use them right, you rock man!
