Try adding to your favorites. Tehres no limit there, so by adding all the games you play, it will aloow you to remember what you played.
What if you didn't like them all though? The favorites list is there for other people to see what games you liked and go play them, or for you to find old favorites. I think that a list of games played would be cool.
The favorites list keeps track of games you like, which Skater Kid already said but i'm repeating with longer sentence because it's funny and it's the truth :P.

But if you want to know the number of games you've rated rather than just which ones, rate them as you play them. If you add them all to your favorites, it would be hell to count them all.

Although it's definitely not vital, it could be interesting to see. I've played probably about 5 or 6 times more games than I've rated. I often don't feel the need, but that's just me.
