You all know it's approaching. Come on, did you really expect me to let a major spooky holiday pass us by and not shoot a few bad poems or stories of mine at you guys? Of course, this thread is a Halloween-themed writing type thread. Everyones' work is welcome here, but of course I expect to be doing the brunt of it all(as usual >.< But as the holiday season draws nigh, I present to you... Halloween!
On the night All Hallow's Eve When the eye can sight What you would not believe Don't go out at night Believe me, stay inside Draw the curtains, lock the doors Stay; don't run, don't hide Or you might find you're not yourself anymore
The werewolves howl to the moon Vampires watch, hear their croon What is this darkened madness Awake within you the buried sadness Live alone, don't fall asleep Look out for the dangers that lurk in the deep Darkness comes; the creatures run From the pure evil that hides from the sun
Evil, bloodsoaked pacts Chanted in the dark There's no going back It all seems stark What's the whole point But there's no time to think So who will we anoint We feel ourselves begin to sink Cannot swim...lost within
Hear the banshee's tortured wail Know your quest is doomed to fail And as the darkest night draws near Who knows what evil's hidden here Claws shall rip and rend You shall see the bloody end Pray to your god, whomever they are They can't help you, opening a deeper scar
Evening draws nigh With a tear in your eye An abject failure; feel the pain And know that no hope shall remain On the darknest day, the darkest night Prepare yourself for the deepest fright Muster your strength, rein in your fear Even though you know you will die here Shadows twist, every noise is a jolt As you wait to be killed by the cult
O, the terror of All Hallow's Eve We scream, but no help shall be received As the demons awake and our souls they shall take We cannot help but ask ourselves why And keep hoping for light, and reach for the sky As we're enveloped by death, the dark, the decay We drag ourselves through to just another day

Thanks, but no, actually, I wrote that one pretty quickly. As I predicted, I am doing the majority of the writing in here. *sigh*. Not sure if this thread is worth keeping alive, really.
