The "sequel" of this movie isn't actually a chronological sequel. Rather is the same story (monster ravaging NYC) from a different perspective. This is given when they are on the bridge and you see another person with a video camera. The "sequel" is suppose to be the other person's story.
Anyway, I thought the movie was pretty good. But more importantly, their viral marketing campaign was AMAZING.
No matter what you think of Cloverfield, like crazjayz said... their marketing campaign was definately something to respect a lot. If I were ever to make a movie, I'd love the campaign to be like Cloverfield's.
Cloverfield itself was good. I'd expected a little more of it, but especially the camera usage was brilliant. Although I doubt that camera could survive a near-direct airstrike...
