I think money is unfortunately essential to us in today's society. People say that money can't buy you happiness...but the things you buy with the money sure can.

No one has ever really shared. Its all been trading even before any type of currency was invented, people used to trade animals, belongings, anything of value. Trading is essentially what we do now, you give me something I want, I give you some of my wealth (money) in return.

But yeah. I think, in its own way, money gives us a more civil nature, in which we use a system of hard-earned cash whereas if we didn't have it, it'd be this whole 'everyone for himself' thing.

I agree. If there wasn't currency, er.. well the world wouldn't be quite the same. There wouldn't be any commerce, nor any form of business.
