I made this a few months ago, and I couldn't find the thread. Anyway, the goal is fairly simple: Make a religion! It's fairly easy, and it will be judged by how creative it is, yet retaining some realism. There is no prize, although I might work for a merit. BUT if you win, you are put into the Hallowed Halls of Worship, for all eternity.

Name: This is obvious.
Core Beliefs: What your religion believes in.
Religious Manuscript: What your religion uses for guidance, if any.
Practices: What its rituals, etc. are.
Type: Polytheistic, Monotheistic, Paganistic

Easy.

Name: Seussianity
Core Belief: We, Seussians, believe that Theodor Seuss Geisel, or "Dr. Seuss", was the creator of the universe. We believe that he came to our Earth to give hints to us that he was the supreme being. His hints can be found in any of his books.
Religious Manuscript: Dr. Seuss wrote over 60 books. We call them "His Word". Each book shows us how to conduct our lives and they give us morals.
Practices: Each Sunday, or as we like to call it "Seuss-Day", we dress up as one of Dr. Seuss's characters, preferably the Cat in the Hat. (The Cat in the Hat is the most holiest of all his characters.) We then recite our favourite book to our loved ones, to help spread His Word. After that, we say a prayer to thank him for all he has given to us.
Added Notes: WE have a holiday to celebrate Dr. Seuss, also. We call it Seussmas. On that day, we give our friends and family some of his books, and then we read them together. (While wearing Cat in the Hat costumes of course.)
We, Seussians, also believe that there is a place for us if we abide with His Word. We call that place Seussville. In Seussville you get to meet everyone of his characters, and you have the most fun you could ever imagine having.
If you want further information on the Church of Dr. Seuss, you can ask me anytime. I'll be glad to help. :]
