Somewhat old news, but I didn't see anything about it in the first 6 pages.
I know people like Al Gore who are in love with the idea of a greener world, yet burn more electricity than several families combined and eat meat which produces more CO2 emissions than all forms of transportation combined are very happy over the Climate Change bill. If it becomes law all Americans will have drastically increased energy bills, and the cost gasoline and disel, and therefor of anything that is shipped will rise as well. It is projected that this bill could cost over 2 million jobs in a time during which we have spent huge amounts of money to protect jobs. How does this make sense???
I'm convinced GW exists, I'm just not convinced of how serious the media makes it out to be. We had Global Cooling, Communism, SARS, Bird Flu, West Nile Virus, Y2K, and Swine Flu, which were all events that were hyped up in the media to scare us. GW is just the next one in line.
Not only that, Al Gore's wealth in 2001... was $1 million. That's about when he began preaching about GW. Now his wealth is over $100 million. That gives me all the reason to doubt the threat of GW. It's money. Nothing else.
It's called negative externalities. If you believe in capitalism, and want they system to keep going, you should try and get rid of them any way possib;e, and for Americans, pollution is probably one of the largest negative externalities you have created.
It's about time unnecessarily polluting the planet was made more expensive for Americans. Most nations in the world experienced this somewhat after the Tokyo conference in the late 90s. Guess what. We suddenly implode.
the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere has increased every year for the last five years, yet the global temperature has decreased during that same time. globalwarming = epic fail
Global warming does exist, it has always existed, it is a natural phenomena. However, humans and our carbon output may be increasing the speed of global warming beyond what the planet is capable of handling.

Quite right thelistman, it does exist, but it is not serious.

It's laughable that people think we are the cause of global warming. Let me put this into perspective for all of you fanactics. One, the earth has gone through SEVERAL climate shifts in its history. Second, 1 volcano eruption puts more CO2 into the atmosphere than all the cars in the world combined IN A YEAR. Think of how many volcanos go off in a year. Here's my estimated percent of how much we affect global warming, 000001% maybe.
