With the recent release of MW2 I was thinking do all of these big games ever live up to the hype and is it the player or the producers fualt for this?

Not our fault that games are so good now these days.

halo 3 didn't live up to any hype. I found it quite disappointing. As for MW2, it lived up and went further than my high expectations for it. So yea I'd say there are some games that do

I know MW2 looks great but games like assassins creed and fable although they are still great games didnt live up to the hype (hopefully AC2 will). This means that people only or a least mostly buy the big games rather than the hidden gems. I love Eternal Sonata and it is very under rated.

MW2 exceeded my expectations, how ever i found the story quite....short.

RE5-did not meet expectations; however you cant improve on perfection.

Actually MW2 does indeed live up to its hype as you can see here.

The game is indeed crazy. I just got MW1 and the game is ridiculously awesome!!!!!!
