Hi everyone. I was trying to play Modern Warfare 2 online today, but for some reason my PS3 couldn't connect... So I went to the internet to find out what was wrong. This is what I found on Sony's Website:
"the multiplayer mode in the PS3 version of MW2 is completely out of action for the time being, Infinity Wardâs Robert Bowling has stated that the servers went down due to a traffic overload.
If you head over to his Twitter account, youâll see that he has been tweeting away, giving explanations and assurances to people that the PS3 multiplayer will be back up and running asap.
In his most recent message, he states that the PS3 version will not require another patch (currently at v1.02), as there is no problem with the code, just a server overload.
So there we have it. The problem is being addressed as we speak. Frustrating I know, but hey what can we do. Weâll update this report when the servers are back up."
I don't know about you, but this really ticks me off. Especially since Modern Warfare 2 just came out yesterday... I called gamestop to ask them about it, and they said that the servers won't be up again untill around Friday...
The fact that for 60 dollars a year, you can get to play without an update every week. Thats why the X-Box owns. We also have much more games out, since the system came out before the PS3 and the Wii. You may argue that the 360 breaks(Red Ring of Death) but if you sent it in, since like before the summer, they update it so that it won't break as easily. That's why it takes a week or too to get your 360 back. On the other hand the PS3 has free multiplayer, and you can use the handle to do some minimal stuff. But the 360 has a more active community, seeing as you can watch videos right off the bat, and you can also purchase full 360 games from it. We also have Halo, Gears of War, and Left 4 Dead.
I have a Wii, a PS3, and a 360, and I favor the 360 the most.
Wow. Everyone that is using this as an oppertunity to say the Xbox is better seriously needs to get a life and piss off. There is no point in posting that... And may I remind you that Xbox servers were down after Halo 3 came out...
We also have Halo, Gears of War, and Left 4 Dead.
We also have Metal Gear Solid, Rachet and Clank.... And we are getting God Of War 3.

Listen people the servers were down for online a handful of people , so u 360 fan boys get a life , because the ps3 is 10 x better then the crappy 360 .
