Hey, i'm looking to find some good qaulity headphones that look nice and are under $100. I prefer over the ear headphones but earbuds are fine. Thanks for helping me.

over-ear: get high quality Skullcandy's. unlike the 120+ Bose, they're 20-50 dollars (last i checked, probably on sale though)

earbuds: if you're good at *really* protecting your headphones, skullcandy (good noise canceling) but they will break within 6 months if you neglect them more than 2 or 3 times a week.
honestly haven't found earbuds that have good lasting quality.
-bose/sony earbuds are usually very high priced.

but in conclusion, skull candy over the ear are probably your best bet. the 50 or 60 dollar kind are probably the better choice, and a good trust-able option-- i've heard good reviews.

UrbanKing, what are you going to use these headphones for? Drums? Mixing music? DJing? Or just for listening to music in general? There are lots of headphones out there for different uses, so it all depends on what you're going to use them for.

I have a set of skullcandy earbuds that are almost a year old. I have carried them to and from school for an entire year (school year) in my pockect. They still work perfectly and I've never had any problems. Oh and btw they cost about 20-30 dollars.

I have a pair of Mix Style headphones. Quite good audio quality and they look AWESOME. Plus they were only $40, Canadian. Only problem is that they're quite hard to find. If you can get some though, they're great for the price. I've had mine about 7 months.

I've never used Skullcandy head phones. This is because most of them look emo as hell. Therefore, only the emo kids at my school wear them.

I have got a few pairs of the Skullcandy earbuds, and I love them. The only problem is, they break after 2-3 months. Even 2-3 months of careful treatment. After a while the audio in one, or both, of the headphones will simply cut out. This has happened to everybody I know who has bought a pair, and I mean EVERYBODY. The longest I've heard of someone keeping a single pair is 4 months. Moe, if yours work after a year, either you barely use them, or you're a god. If you're going to get these I suggest you do what I did. Get the extended warranty, it's like an extra $10. Every time they break go in and get a new pair. They'll eventually stop giving them to you but by them you've got your money's worth.

As far as the best earbuds, in my opinion, I'd say stock Apple earbuds. Sure, they're really expensive, like $50-$60, so I've never bought a second pair, but they seem to last well. The audio is SUPEROMGAMAZING but it works fine. Plus these things are a lot stronger than they look. Only thing is, watch the wire that is next to the jack on them. If you bend that a lot the wires inside will break.

Wow, that was really helpful. I'm sure you just convinced him to get Skullcandy headphones with your incredibly informative post.

Try Sennheiser or AKG headphones, television and music studios use them because they have one of the best sound qualities.

Did you miss the part about listening to them going to and from school for an entire school year, carrying them in my pocket when not listening to them, and during the second half of the school year I listened to the 3-5 hours a day. I know I am not a god because I don't believe in gods, so what am I?

A god. You beliefs have nothing to do with it. That's like me saying I think that O.J. is innocent. Doesn't make it true.

Just because I will live forever and my Skullcandy earbuds have lasted for a year does not make me a god.

I don't want praise, besides my friend has Skullcandy earbuds that are older than mine and he will live forever too. Also my dad has similar Skullcandy earbuds wtih a reggae color scheme that are about 8 months old.

Don't try earbuds as they don't last very long.
