I'm kinda' a starter at this game so these tips might not help but I hope they do!
1.Buildings When you start every mission or round you always have to build buildings. Depending on what side you are on, certain buildings give you a better advantage (depending on what building).
2.Your allies As you play you have to get your allies to the other side and destroy the other team's base. But the problem is what allies to choose at what times depending on what mission/round you are on/in you should choose certain enemies against your enemies.
3.Enemies As you progress through the game your enemies get tougher, and tougher. So depending on which stage/mission you are on you have to make a different strategy every time. But just remember every strategy varies greatly.
4.Overall This is pretty much what I overall am saying: Build strategies!!!
And those are the basic tips I have. I can't garantee if they will work or not but I hope they do help with your gaming experience in: Colony!
I've always started with bank in nearly every game, just because the armory eats up 25 energy and it delays some buildings, I normally fast tech up to tier-2 or so....
Outpost first severely slows down your cash, and because most outpost units also require cash, it's not the best. You'll end up with a bunch of manpower, yeah, but you'll have a very, very slow cash income until you get a bank/armory up. It discourages rushes though.
Since no one really rushes anymore bank--treasury is rather safe...
Yup, you did, in your imagination. Tutorial should be at the start of campaign, not quick-play. I won my first multiplayer game, because I was playing with a friend. I remember sending a BQ at 3 sakatas...
Basically the only time you shouldn't start with bank/armory is if you are going to rush, and rushes only really work well in modes like earthquake and dogfight. Otherwise, i basically always start with bank.
