nice repost lol. Why would anyone think the world would end in 2012? Because apparently the Mayans predicted it. obviously they knew what they were doing. People have predicted the world to end numerous times already. It was supposed to end in 2000 but that never happened now did it?
This just happens to be the next famous date that some ancient culture predicted the world will end on. If you truly believe the world will end, send me all your money the day before. You won't need it...

The Mayans didn't predict anything, according to their calender the era we are currently in ends in 2012 and a new one begins. When their eras end the world goes through a lot of change which involves a lot of death and destruction. However they DO NOT mean the world will end.
