Ok so the grading scale where i live is 94-100 A and i'm not doing so well. I hate the scale in my school. The lowest it can be is 90-100 and i think thats a little low. But would be happy with it. Another thing is that it could stop me from getting into collage. Lets say all my Bs are 91s. They could be As. Your thoughts?

My solution: Get better grades.

In that case, move to a different school.

I think most places have 93-100 or 94-100 as A's, so I think you are with the majority

I personally think an A should be 80-100 since on EOGs you get a 4 if you make a 78. So....

my teach actually does that 50% of the grade is on one test and the other 50% is for being there

Really is that true? what if you get a 0% on the test after missing half the class?

Personally I don't think it matters all that much. Your grade is just a reflection of if you do the work, my teachers, for the type of work they hand out, is around 80% busy work, 10% homework, and then 5% quizes and tests. The busy work is just a buffer for your grade, if you do it all, I don't see how it's possible to fail. All I do in school is pass the tests and blow off 90% of the homework and class work and pass the class.

I think you have a valid point Kasic, I just don't think colleges looking to accept undergrad/graduate students and potential employers would agree with you...they tend to see some value in those silly little letters based on busy work (though I will admit that in college I have done a lot less busy work and have done much more relevant assignments compared to high school).

Oh, im very persuasive, and it's hard to argue that I don't know what im talking about when I score high on the tests that they look at. If they really cared about work ethic, 99% of all people who have gotton into college wouldn't have.

well im only in 8th grade but i am taking high school classes. 3 of them.. and my gpa won't stand out from others in my state.. All most all of my state has gone to 90-100 but my city. And i think ill go to less advanced classes cause college looks at gpa more sometimes
