I attach a rope made from my cloth armor and attach it to a few arrows. I fire the arrows at the top of the volcano and climb the rope.

it's not a sure shot alpha. you have to wait till riou saids it worked before you can climb it. and i would pull the rope to make sure it holds 1st.
