Mary was a young girl, about 13 years in age. She lived a good, calm life for the most part before it all happened. Her family had been killed at a party about a year ago and now she is in foster care at a day care. Her current mother is extremely difficult to get along with. She is beaten by her mother, and her "brother" beats her with more than just fists. She plans to run away tonight, but she can't leave any sign of her leaving this time. Last time she ran away, she was chained down and had a chair broken over her back. She intends on having a normal lifestyle when she finds home, but in this town, it will be extremely hard to find salvation, so she plans on leaving the state entirely. New England is a harsh place to run away in the winter, but its now or never. Her mother went to a bar, and her brother went to his girlfriends place for the night. She locks the door on her way out and runs for the hills.
