In an attempt to keep my longest and most popular thread alive, I'm reintroducing it into the world, although with a few tweaks.
First off, instead of a 2 song battle, I will create phase levels of three songs. The first song to 5, wins. I will then implement it into a contest, which the last 2 winners are put in with it. Whoever wins that will be put into a sort of 'layoff' bracket system, which will consist of 4 songs. Which ever wins, wins.
Secondly, my songs will be picked off a chart of the top 100 songs either ever, or from the recent past. They may also be personal favorites.
Finally, I may or may not select a few helpers, depending on how popular this gets.
FIRST BATTLE
One by Metallica The Whale Song by Modest Mouse Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
The Whale Song fo me. It just has so many good rifts, the bass opening (and throughout) is awesome. I'm not crazy about the (how do you desrcibe it) the two guy's singing being overlayed and unsynched (I like harmony),but it doesn't take to much from an otherwise great sounding song.
Stairway to Heaven is undoubtably a classic, but it is a little overratd to me. I liked Metallica when I was 13, nothing of theirs blows me away anymore.
Yeah I got to go with hitmanvp on this one.One is are relly awsome song but so is starway to heaven.But I got to go with One on this one(Ha get it?No?Oh well)
