There's nothing wrong with benching that much. You just have to have built the muscles to do it.
The act of building your muscles to the point where you can bench 200lbs, under the age of 16 is bad for you. It stunts your growth and screws up your back. Olympian athletes only do core muscle exercises until the age of 16 for this very reason, and they have the best physios in the world who probably know a lot more about it than you or I.

I would agree with that if you said something like under 14. When growth has already started and is happening quickly, there is a great opportunity to build muscles, and as long as it's somewhat controlled, there'll be no problem.
also, I'd really like to see something saying that benching which is successfully carried out under the age of 16 can damage the back.

Your body isn't fully developed until the age of 22. Even 16 is fairly early. Of course different individuals experience growth spurts at different ages, however as a general rule, 16 is a good benchmark. Personally I had got my major growth spurt out of the way by about 15, however many people I know have back problems now due to spending too much time in the gym at 14/15.

It has a high risk of screwing up your back, because your spine is still developing, and putting 200lbs of strain on it, isn't exactly healthy. Before you even attempt to build up uppoer body/arm muscles you should focus on leg and lower back muscles in order to support the strain it puts on it. Since most teens don't rewally care about these muscles or realise their importance, they neglect it and suffer as a result.

I never said that it can't hurt you if you don't bench correctly.
Benching correctly includes having the correct muscles to bench, as I stated last page "you just have to have built the muscles to do it". There should be little to no strain (certainly not a damaging amount) if you can actually bench 200.
