Xfire is an instant messenger, made primarily for gamers. Xfire is updates every now and then and it can recognise what games you are playing (whereby you can take screenshots, make Xfire record a video, or even let your friends join the server you're on directly from Xfire), and sometimes you can get it to recognise websites, like AQ.
Xfire sucks it lags my computer!
It does take up quite a bit of CPU, but on my computer it runs almost silently . . . :|
As for the OP, I think this is something you should bring up with Xfire too, as they're the ones that are actually going to create the update.
