No one person should ever be allowed charge. Only a group can fulfill the needs adequately.
Well its good to have some sort of leader to tell everyone else what their objectives are, but no one person should probably try to create a website by themselves. On top of that it would be nice to have a clear objective going in so it wouldn't end up like the original Armor Wiki.(We went in with a bunch of different ideas improviseing along the way and in the end all we had to show for it was a bunch of pages filled with our favorite music and youtube videos, with maybe one or two useful pages of info) Its a lot to think about I suppose.
How about site design (the layout of the wiki), facts (what happened and when), and text (how the facts are written)?
Well I would imagine with a fair amount of Photoshop experience I could do the design, but lets decide how this is to be done. Are we going to use a Word Press perhaps?
I never figured out what a word press is. Explain?
While its made mainly for blogs it has plenty of tools that allow for tons of other stuff, and since it allows for html anyone who knows how to code in that language can really expand on the type of content that exists in the site. In otherwords it helps create sites, but has no real limits to it in comparison to most other site-creating sites.
You can have a look at it here: http://wordpress.com/
What areas would we expand on? I was thinking obviously history, but also users, threads, etc. Thoughts?
Well if we could keep it up-to-date enough there could be things such as community news, like tournaments going on within certain parts of the forums that maybe not everyone knows about, but its best to be careful with adding info concerning users since we would probably be best off getting permission from them before doing so.
We should all look back on when i made the thread *How to be awesome (Like Somers)
You stole that off Lige.
As for Wordpress, we might want to use a basic wiki system. Wikia might be our best option for a beginning wiki.

I'm all for that idea.

True, although we should also be careful who we would do, if possible. If we just did an article on everyone we would be swamped.
Well I remember Carlie in the past has frowned upon talking about perma-banned members, but I think the only ones we should really talk about are those who hold any significants such as maybe switchfoot, and psprocks.
For the last time, I'm already working on a wiki, it uses wikia too.
We should start a new one. That one is dead. And Like I said, taking it over without the authors permission is rather off key. It doesn't sit well with me.

Some members held importance more than others to specific people. Your usual permaban isn't Earth shaking, but some of us DO miss and/or regret them being gone. They don't necessarily hold historical value. You can't say you wouldn't want to write an article about Shin, amirite?
Well there could be a featured member of the week or something, with an article on them after being given permission maybe?
OK, the different divisions idea is a very good one. It'll help save time, as long as someone from each division is working at approximately the same time. So, the divisions would be as follows, I guess? WEB LAYOUT FACTS TEXT(how the facts are put together) ADMINISTRATION(the organizers of all three, this is very important) If we have a few people in each of these divisions, I think it will run smoothly. As for the idea of a leader, we would need someone who either learns very quickly and can understand his/her coworkers or someone who has at the least some experience in the first three divisions. Would it be that we vote, or if a leader is going to resign, he/she picks the next one? Or something completely different. I would choose voting.
