I applaud the marketers turthfully. They know what group they're after and they effectivly accomplished their goal. By using those &quotorno" pictures as we're referring to them, I'd bet they've roped in a good deal of players. While I haven't had any need to test the quality of the game I must say they seem pretty smart or at least ad savvy.

Strop, I read the bottom paragraph, and now I'm wondering where I can find that documentary. It seems like that guy actually accomplished the feat of being productive while still ripping someone at the same time.

And to NoLifeLevi, I didn't really think of it that way. They had a good idea to start with, but once the little perves realized what the game really was, they probably lost interest.

They try to make it seem something along the sexual lines at least. While they may lose some of their initial sign ups because of "tricking" people with the pictures, there is still a group who would stay, or at least i'd assume so. Even if they only keep one or two out of say, ten sign ups, they're still in business. I have to say though, just because a few women are dressed in bikinis or undergarments, doesn't make it porn. It's like saying Victoria Secret Commericals are porn, or the ads showing women wearing nightwear in your local Target flyers are porn, it's all just advertising. Even if it is misleading most forms of advertising are targeted at certain age groups and have certain objectives. It just so happens this evony site(site, game, whatever the hell it's supposed to be)would like to target 14-25 year old males. What would be the easiest and most reliable way to attract such people? Well what better way then to throw a few half naked Women on an Ad and throw in a few phrases about playing discreetly etc?

While I am a bit disgusted with the spotty way they advertise I still must give them credit for the way in which they advertise. It's sad to say but they know what reels in the average young adult/teenager these days.

I mean, how is this even related to a medieval setting MMORTS? Hilarious. Talk about disappointment for all of those men when they click on the ad. All I could do was laugh when I saw this.

Exactly. I knew what Evony was ahead of time thanks to the more accurate ads when they first started up, so I've never clicked on them. Gratuitous eye candy, I guess.

Okay I have seen a ton of ads for this site called Evony. Apparently it's this RPG that takes place in the middle ages in some ads but in others it looks like an effin porno. Can someone please explain to me what this is?
