I dont follow Susan Boyle, but i think shes an Opera singer, and i live in the UK. Why is here album selling so fast if its opera. (most people would not buy opera stuff) So can you tell me why is here album selling so fast?
She is a quite good singer, but the only reason why so many people buy her album is because she is not very pretty and also because her whole life he was very unlucky and she did not achieve anything important. We tend to admire persons who manage to succeed even though they faced many difficulties during their life and that in some aspect are worst than us (in this case appearance). We think so that's she is an example, but she is also worst than us, so this makes feel better and it's good for our self-esteem.
The reason she has become such a big sensation, is that she was on the program Britain's Got Talent. You can see the original video here. People thought she was a joke, and kind of wrote her off. But then she ended up being an extremely talented singer, and she became a huge sensation.
