I personally don't like Christian rock bands, they are too repetitive and don't have the qualities of GOOD rock...Or at least the ones I have listened to... I am not saying that they don't have a good message, I like that message, its just that i don't like the music, and the words get very repetitive
Whoa! I didn't all of those bands were Christian! Especailly Underoath. Well I can't tell what they are saying, so maybe that's why. Someone I know said that Alice in Chains was. That's not true even though in "Man in the Box," thay say Jesus Christ.
@ Switchfoot: when i said that Christian rock doesn't have the qualities of rock, i meant great classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Steppenwolf, I think that when i say "rock" i think you and i have completely different definitions
Bands like Switchfoot and Reliant K (those are the ones i have listened to out of your list) are not even comparible to Led Zeppelin or the other classic rock bands i listen to
P.S. and like i said in my first post, It's not that i don't like the message of what they are saying, its just that i don't like the music behind it or the repetitiveness of the words
some of the songs are good but they sing in something i dont think is real so i dont go out and hear them. A religious friend of mine plays music like that all the time
personally, I like black metal which centers around satanism and misanthropy. But there's also white metal, which is the same style of music but instead it's christian... Just throwing that out there even though black metal is 1,000x better.
