Well a lot of people seem pissed at the amount of kids being medicated. Personally, I think they're just overreacting. A lot of people need medication, and just because that's more possible now then it was when they were kids they think everyone's being drugged. Sure, maybe it's too much, but the way people are arguing about it they make it seem like all children everywhere is on a drug of some kind.
Personally, I think most people take more medications than they need to. The human body is a self-healing machine, and most medications are completely unnecessary.
On top of this, a lot of medicines treat only symptoms, not the initial problem itself. Your body shows symptoms of an illness primarily has a way for your body to heal, so treating a symptom may actually prolong a disease.
I only take medications regularly for headaches, and I just take Advil. This happens maybe 1 or 2 times a week. Other than that, I usually only take medications if I have bronchitis or something...which has only happened in my life 5 or 6 times. I honestly don't see why people need medication to focus. All those drugs do is make them drowsy and occasionally depressed.
Lol, when I was little being ADD meant you were hyperactive, they're kids you're going to be hard pressed to make them sit down and listen. And as for Bi-polar haven't you ever seen a little kid go from happy to full on tantrum in .5 seconds?
