I usually type without looking at the keyboard, but when it comes to typing numbers, I usually look down at the keyboard. I haven't really practiced, it just happens over time. You learn to type. Just like texting. Although, it takes 10 minutes for me to text one sentence.... Anywho, overtime, you will be able to type "blindfolded".

if you have trouble texting you should get a phone with a keyboard its great =]
I almost never look at the keys when I type; when you type a lot, you won't have to. Practice, practice, practice. I'm up to 80 wpm, and I usually don't make mistakes(although my name shows that I do). Anyway...yeah. You'll get there. Just make sure you're using the right technique and you won't even have to think about it.
I touch type sort of. I use my middle finger on my right hand, and my thumb, index, middle, and ring finger on my left hand. Weird, but I type pretty fast.
there is a class in my school that teaches you how to type and now i am a Master!!!. only i didn't feel that the numbers were necessary so now i can't do them without looking. but as for all the other keys i have them memorized.
I can except for my b key, it recently broke and I had to fix it but it's all wobbly so whenever I miss it it messes me up. But otherwise, yea, I can type without looking at the keyboard.
