Well, we have the forum search, which would lead you to most of the posts and comments where the username is mentioned. If you know the username, it is just putting it into the user url, and you go to their profile page. Though, if you don't know it, there is not much we can do, because there is no search criteria to make up a search from, besides listing all the names that is spelled almost like the one you were trying to find (and the forum search probably can do the same, just write as much of the name you are sure about, put in a * in the end/where you lack the rest, and possibly search on profiles. But yeah, search bar up there did not really work when it had that kind of things, so the easiest would be to either find the person on the forums and go to their profile that way, or use the forum search.
